Jul. 12th, 2004 09:18 amI had a dream last night. They had to do a by-election for my riding since McGuinty had to drop out. None of the candidates were the same. Ronald Reagan was the conservative candidate....and he was considered a favourite.
I had a great time this weekend. Apart from the hassle of packing and setting up tents, the weather was great (a smidge warm maybe, but not bad), I mostly avoided burns (a bit on my shoulders from swimming Sunday), I swam plenty, I skinny dipped a bit (with the other campsites populated, this becomes a minimal activity), I played with the 5 dogs in attendance, Helen and I ate well with copious amounts of fruit we brought in the cooler, and a most excellent pot luck supper Saturday, all in all good.
One particular highlight (for those that know the names involved), Siglinde ripped into Phil for how he was treating Mary. Good for her, and it's about time someone did. Phil is one of the biggest asses I know, and he treats Mary like a second class citizen. The only reason I had not yet said something to him myself is that Mary is suprisingly adept at standing up for herself....none the less, it was neat to here him get it from an outside source as well. For those that don't know who I am talking about, I am not going to get into it here, suffice it to say, he's a man that needs to be knocked down 1 or 2....or 10 pegs.

ovalone's apartment for the household meeting, and a nice filling supper at the Elgin Street Diner afterwards (made especially colourful by the lingering crowds of the pride parade).
I am finally getting back to Karaoke tomorrow. I have missed several weeks in a row for one reason or another, but this week, I go pay a visit again. DV (as I will call her until I know what she may prefer to be known as, and is whom I referred to in my last post) expressed an interest in checking it out, so I am motivated to get out there again.
