Work policies.

My company recently lowered its threshold for when people get 4 weeks of vacation from 8 years, to 5 years, making a lot of people pretty happy. However, they have no policy of any sort in terms of when people get 5 weeks of vacation.

Does anyone know any standards, other than the government (which is more generous than the private sector), in terms of vacation leave past the 4 week mark? Does your company have a 5 week (or more) threshold. I've been here a fair time, and if 5 weeks is in the least a reasonable request, I hope to pursue it with human resources.

but where did the wallet go?

My wallet….it is gone.

I went to goodlife to workout…and had it when checking in (my membership card therein). The jacket pocket it sits in is the inside pocket….not a pocket that lends itself to spilling contents, it’s quite snug. My coat was hung up on a hanger in my locker, nice and upright, and the locker locked.

By the time I reached the Loeb to get a bit of food…no wallet.

I am giving myself a bit of time for sanity checks…retrace steps, and goodlife has my number, but if a revelation doesn’t happen shortly, I have a credit card to cancel.

What a colossal pain. Driver’s license, credit card, bank card, health card, gym membership, sca membership, blood donor card….thankfully I already spent my $100 bonus they gave everyone at work for a record quarter (which they gave out as cash to everyone).

I suspect I will take tomorrow off work, and start running around beginning the process of getting new cards.
