My modestly decent insurance rate didn't take into account a ticket from 2 and a half years ago. Taking that into account, my best rate now is actually a different carrier, and is still a little over $300 cheaper than CAA. It's still better.
Bleah. My highway driving has moderated in speed since that 2001 ticket (that's the idea right), and my city driving will moderate due to today's ticket. It's frustrating, because I know I am a safer driver than a huge number of people on the road, but the insurance company needs to run the numbers, I can't really blame them for that. I'll be good, no more tickets for me.
