I went to my chiro exam this morning, just the preliminary, what's wrong with my spine, and we'll discuss adjustments after that kind of meeting. They took x-rays, poked my back, wrote some obscure dialect of letters and numbers on a chart, and that's about it. Going back tonight for the results.

If my chiro office wasn't a chiro office, it would be a church. They are a very religious bunch. Pamphlets mention God, the signs mention God, the adverts on the bulletin board mention God, however (and for this I am thankful), their mouthes do not mention God. It's there to read, but they do not utter word one of it out loud, it's all business in direct interaction. So I don't really object that much, they can believe what they like, but they aren't trying to cram it down my throat. So long as I don't bother to read the propoganda, then I can avoid it entirely, and they don't seem to care. They are in fact really nice people, attentive, they do make me feel at home and paid attention to.

Of course, I still need to balance the cost of it all against my finances. Helen is quitting her work within days, we're pondering the whole house thing, ....*bleh*, anyone have a winning 6/49 ticket they can spare?

I have lost my wedding band. I was on my way to my follow up chiro appointment to discuss the x-rays and such, when I stop at the quickie for a snack as the appointment is for 6:00. Getting out of the car, I swing my hand around to grab the door frame to help myself out, and I feel it just slide of my finger, a ding from the ground, and that's the last I saw of it. I spent 45 minutes searching that parking lot, I parked my car in the middle of the drive portion of the parking lot with high beams on, flooding where I had been, nothing. It's small, and it's round, it could have rolled anywhere like a miniature wheel with the force it flew off my finger. My only consolation is the storm drain was mostly clogged with snow, so it's doubtful it rolled to the drain and actually went down. I guess this is the thanks I get for losing that weight last year, in addition to cold fingers being a bit thinner.

It's gone. I left a note with the quickie with my phone number in case anyone turns it in, as well as a note on the windshield of the van that was parked in the direction the ring went in case it's underneath it somewhere, but I got right down on the ground to check, didn't see it.

I have an extra ticket for Cabaret at the NAC on Sat. Feb 1st (evening). The person whom I bought the ticket for, now cannot make it. If anyone would like, e-mail me at ansfrid@yahoo.com. The ticket rings in at $60ish (maybe $65, can't remember), and is front row balcony. I'd prefer to do this by e-mail because if a bunch of people want it, I have to pick one person, if I pick from here, well...anyways, e-mail me.
