Taking the plunge
Feb. 5th, 2003 11:06 amI have registered for the RA lifefit centre, 1 year membership. It includes a free orientation where they plan an excercise program. I haven't bought the personal trainer sessions yet, I figure I could discuss that during my orientation. If I can get through to them and schedule it, that's what I intend to do tonight. I have even been getting nostalgic for the days I used to play squash, though I need to get in shape a bit before I try and tackle that again (talk about high impact). I have not yet registered for aerobics, I figure one thing at a time, but I may yet do that as well. The lifefit centre has cardio machines, but quite frankly they tend to be boooorrrinnngg, I figure aerobics may be needed to give be fun cardio.
Having mixed feeling about going to Guelph this weekend for an sca event. On the plus side, I like the event, and I have missed it 2 or 3 years running. There will also be a heraldry discussion (at a medieval dance themed event, go figure), and it's been a while since I have take an sca trip of any length. On the downside, it's still a hell of a way to travel, it won't be cheap with reduced household income, and I won't have time to do skiing this weekend. Still, I think my preference lies with going, and we already told my sister in law we'd be staying with her Sat. night (she lives in Guelph), so we're committed. Ok, I am feeling more sure....we're going, it'll be fun.
I was up past midnight both Monday night and last night. I was tired-ish, but I was not catatonic. I may be almost out of this post-viral exhaustion thing. I'm looking forward to having energy again.
