Jun. 20th, 2003 01:07 pmSo, I have not posted much of substance this week. It's been a somewhat busy, but a good week. I finished my online java courses at work, and learned some good stuff. I wrote my first self developed java application (a very simple one, but I'm proud of it) as part of a task I had on my plate, managed to spend some nice time with both Helen and Nesia, played Soccer again (we lost, but we played a good game), all around pretty decent.
I have been asked to give 10 hours of overtime next week as we get the next release of our product out the door by end of week. This will put a serious crimp on social activities, but it's an avenue of work I want to get more into (leading into java development), so I find myself fairly willing to do it. Still, overtime is never a pleasant option, so I am glad it's an exception (at least it better be).
Went to the dentist this morning. Got a reproachful look about not flossing enough, but no lecture. There is also the hint of a proto-cavity. Just a spot on one molar with some abraded enamel. At the moment, it could fix itself with dutiful brushing, so I will pay extra attention to that spot. They weren't to worried, just something to check more carefully next time I get an exam. Apart from that, my mouth was just as good as it was last time, and I continue to have fairly healthy and decently arranged teeth. I should still floss more, and my gums are still a fraction further back than where the dentist would like to see them, but they have been that way for years without getting worse. If I could just think to floss more often, my gums might even improve a bit. That's not to say they're bad, they aren't, I have fairly healthy gums, just not 100% healthy.
I am hoping to go downtown tonight and get a replacement earring having made a botch job of trying to put my last one back in. I want to get it back in before
q_skud_'s party tomorrow. I have planned out what I am going to wear as well. It's a look that pleases me, even if it's fairly plain compared to what some will be wearing there. I also plan to not drive there, so I can drink to my pleasure. What's the point of an interesting cocktail party if you can't have more than 1 small one. Anyone want to pick me up and drive me out there? I suppose I will probably do bus....or drive out there and crash. Skud, is crashing an option? Anyways, it should be fun.
