So we lost at soccer again, 5-3. It was however one of the most enjoyable games thus far. First, I was coping better than usual. The first time I took my break off the field as we substitute players, it was the first time this season that I did not need it. I was sweaty and breathing hard, but I was still ok. I wasn't about to die. Next, I played fairly well, I got in their way, I intercepted balls, passed well, and even blocked a ball from going in goal when the keeper couldn't quite get there. Lastly, we got rained on. Halfway through we got a fairly stiff rainfall coming down on us from about 20-30 minutes. When you are already sweaty, you don't really feel it, you just feel cool, refreshed, and you feel like you're just having fun. Also, the other team was very good natured. The inevitable slips and trips due to wet grass was laughed off, hands were shaken, no hard feelings (well, except one guy that seriously needed to relax). Good fun.

My first of 2 orders at Amazon is shipping, wheeee. This is a portion of my $200 bonus from work. The other order are items that won't be available until August, so I just need to wait. I can hope to get it next week, but I picked the slowest shipping to save cash, so it may be the week after.

Came home after the diner yesterday and the whole house smells of garlic. Market fresh has whole bouquets of basil (as big as a bouquet of flowers) for $2. Helen was busy making VAST quantities of pesto, and there are still 2 bouqets left to process. I am in pesto heaven, although I need to make the next batches as Helen is gone all weekend visiting Pedro. Pesto gooooooooood.

The weekend shapes up thusly. Nesia comes over tonight and I get to spend an overdue evening in her company. We get to chat about some things that have been left to long to chat about, I am looking forward to seeing her. Tomorrow, I am off to napanee for baronial muster. I am just day tripping, but hopefully I will get some fencing in, and it sounds like they have a nice dinner lined up. Sunday, if I wake up in time, soccer practice (which as team we need), fencing, and at some point I need to process the rest of that pesto, must-not-let-basil-go-to-waste! Maybe I should invite some people over Sunday evening for pesto and a movie or 2. A pesto party! Hmmmm, I will think on it, I just had the idea just now typing this......would anyone be interested? It's good pesto, best ever! Not promising anything just now, but it's an idea.

morally deficient
Threat rating: Medium. Your total lack of decent
family values makes you dangerous, but we can
count on some right wing nutter blowing you up
if you become too high profile.

What threat to the Bush administration are you?
