Sep. 2nd, 2003 10:30 amSo our rescue from our aborted weekend went well. Nesia's cottage, while more rustic than Helen's cottage, was still a nice little escape from the world after we had already prepped ourselves for a weekend away from civilization. We dined on
q_skud_'s recipe for elizabethan steak with a nice bordeaux wine, we swam in a lake devoid of weeds and sparkling water, we sat about a wood stove crackling away and talked, we had much pancakes the next day, and got ourselves home later afternoon on Sunday. I have to say, I am not a die hard cottage person, but an occasional escape is a nice thing. The rest of the weekend was spent by Helen and myself doing nothing. We watched episodes of mash, we ate, we futzed on the computer, we fooled around, we read our books, and so time passed.
