Got a car insurance quote for almost $600 less than what CAA wants from me. That's a little better. Apparently the accident I had string me worse than expected. If you have been driving for 6 years or more, then you lose 1 star for an at-fault collision, but since I am driving 5 years, I dropped to the bottom. None the less, this new carrier happens to be the same place as my tenant insurance carrier, which also gives me 10% off my tenant's insurance.

Sweet! Still pricey (probably at least $1000 more than if the accident didn't happen), but much sweeter than what I thought I was going to have to do through CAA.
