It's unclear as to whether that's all she ever owed, and they did not record any payment, or that's how much she was short by. The confusing part is that I filed for both of us, as a couple. Either we both owe money, or we both don't. Our taxes were a joint submission, so how can *she* owe money, when in fact, as a couple, I got a fair chunk of change as a refund? I assume we just missed a small number somewhere, and somehow, the error got attributed to her side of the return. I mean it's not *that* much money, not worth making much of a fuss over, but I will probably call them and at least get an idea why or how it happened. Maybe they didn't get the electronic filing through quicktax properly or something. *shrug*
