(no subject)

Well, it's done. As many of you have probably read, Socks and I have parted company. When we got back together last time, it was to try and learn from our mistakes, and try with new found knowledge to make it work. We both tried in our way, but it is not to be. There are some fundamental differences between us that have made it impossible. In the last week or so, I have had to explore brand new ways to be honest, even when that honesty can sting. But she deserves the truth. I think, I would like to think anyways, that it has gone a little smoother this time. Maybe, just maybe, we have managed to do this without any further lasting harm. I don't know if we will be friends in time, but we can be social.

Many of you will do this anyways, but make sure she knows how many friends she does have. I really wished it could have worked, but it would have required one or both of us to make concessions that we couldn't make. Better to admit the truth when it is before you.
