I biked! Instead of fencing, I chose to bike downtown to join people at the diner. So I got it out of the garage, checked it over, checked the lights, the tires, it seems all good to go (it survived the winter unscathed), and off I went. I think I need to keep it up. The trip was no trouble, but it was still a good workout, and soccer will be a bigger effort than that. It'll help though. My bum is sore from the seat, I am not used to it. I will take applications to kiss it better now.
Troy got a mediocre review in the paper, but the objections seemed largely based on not staying true to the feel of the greek epic it is based on, something about old greek heroes wouldn't act that way, they would act this way. .........Whatever, give me big huge armies going bang, lots of swords flashing about, sweeping vistas....I should be happy.
I am officially a bachelor again....well for 3 days. Helen is off to visit A in Kingston. I get to sit around in my underwear, eat supper out of the pot, play computer games with the volume up, see movies she wouldn't approve of and leave dishes untended where I last used them. Woohoo! It's nice to be slovenly, just occasionally.
