(no subject)

What a weekend! It wasnt' all that momentous really, but it was pleasant. Thursday, we ran around town and did some errands for the house, and then piled off to the cottage where we spent most of the weekend. The weather was greyish for the most part, fine for walking and relaxing, not so much for swimming. Of note however, Sunday morning I went out to the archery practice for the Peterborough sca crowd. I really think I could like this archery thing. Quirks of judging range threw me on occasion, but I was consistently hitting the 20, 30, and 40 yard targets, after I had a trial run or 2 to get used to how far away they are. I was using a borrowed bow, and somewhat tatty borrowed arrows (and borrowed arm and finger guards), but I was doing all right with them. I was still a shadow compared to many of the other people there, someone of which were landing some very tight shots even at 40 yards. 40 yards was a bit random for me. Sometimes I would get all my arrows on target, sometimes miss them all, but I blame that partially on the condition of my arrows. I enjoyed it none the less, and could see myself getting into archery.

Things to do this week:
-put cheque with a remarkable number of zeroes on it into bank (Helen's parent's contribution)
-get tickets for Cabaret at the GCTC
-possibly buy a ceiling fan
-do our pre-delivery inspection on Wednesday
-pack boxes (in a broad theoretical sense...I have a feeling we are in for a busy week of packing next week)
-probably get more boxes and/or some bubble wrap.
-fill out mortgage paperwork
-purge more stuff that we don't want to move.
-um......I'm probably forgetting stuff.

I am stalling at work. My current task here is *shudder* documentation and technical specs. I *LOATHE* writing documentation.
