Picked them up at around 3:00ish today. The house is looking good. They fixed most of the small things. Some issues remain (the dining room window will still need replacing, some caulking in one spot of the kitchen counter), but it is certainly move-in-able.Reminder to those that are interested (or if you are reading this for the first time), we are having an informal hang out in our new house party. Come to the Kaladar house if you are vehicle enabled, move a few small light things, then hang about in our unfurnished house on blankets and cushions. Helen will be having some chili and some pot roast dug out of the freezer, we will probably order a bit of pizza as well, and there may have to be an innaugural blizzard run to the dairy queen. Most importanly, come see our house! A proper housewarming will come when we have furniture and mostly unpacked stuff.
Dishwasher: We have a mobile dishwasher for sale. We are getting a built in unit, so we want to unload our current mobile one. It's about 5 years old (ish), but works without a hitch, and still pretty much looks new. It was between $800 and $900 new, so whatever depreciation that works out to is what we want to sell it for. Call it $250ish, or best offer.
Packing help: On Sunday, we will be busy packing. All the little things we left unpacked because we still need to live in this house for now, all the little things that will add up that we just haven't figured out what box they are going in, etc... It *all* needs to get packed up and/or ferried over to the new house as loose stuff. If anyone wants to pitch in, lunch or dinner will be on us. Note, this is not meant to be a huge packing party (not enough room for lots of people to move), but a couple extra hands would be great for whatever part of the day they can be spared..
