Sep. 3rd, 2004 10:26 amDude! I haven't made any kind of substantive post in a while.
-We got our stove, installed and everything - we can cook! Looks real purdy.
-Lost soccer 3-1 yesterday, but still a good game. None of my joints failed me (warmed up well), and I think I played decently.
-Gave blood yesteday. Worst time ever (Helen and I race to see who fills the bag fastest). I think it was because the needle was not smoothly inserted...hurt more than usual, and stung a bit afterwards as well. I drank about 4 litres of water over the day. That *should* have helped me bleed faster. I'll beat her next time!
-House is looking more ship shape than ever. Still things to do, but it's looking mroe like home than a house. Helen's parents are coming in a few weeks for a visit, and we plan to put her father to work installing and working on things (mechanical engineer, and very good with his hands). After that, we are hoping we will be presentable for a housewarming.
-set up in my new location at work. *shrug*, I still prefer a window, but it's also good to be near the people that I technically work with anyways. It does make sense
-finished (well.....nearly) a monster spec yesterday. Pain in the ass. Today I start on another one. It has the advantage of being a truely new feature, not a version or copy of an existing feature. It keeps it more interesting as I get to invent the process for accomplishing it, rather than regurgitating existing code concepts.
-Helen is feeling in very good spirits. Those of you that know why this is important, can rest easy. She will offer more information at her discretion. All is looking fairly well however.
