(no subject)

buttongirl and I had carlin over for supper last night. First time Helen has met her saving 2 instances (party, and brunch) at coretjo's and j_v_lynch's house before I first asked K out. We then went off to the market to meet a bunch of K's friends who were having a going away party for one of them. This is the first time I had been in the dominion tavern. Kind of a dive, but it had a couple of decent beers, and certainly a characteristic atmosphere of its own. By all accounts, her friends seemed to like me...or not hate me in any case. One of them walked by and spontaneously announced a group hug, so I'd say my presence was acceptable.

Today, some shopping and errands, followed by get together with con_girl and foms (and whomever else is there)

Discovered that if I shave with the grain, then do touch ups against the grain (thank you dagibbs for the idea), I get a very close shave without having to deal with the abrasion of doing everything against the grain. However I also am realizing just how fast I could go through blades if I keep this method. I think I will end up replacing them more often than I've been used to.
