Swimming passes for any City of Ottawa pool (including Plant Bath where fencing takes place which have a leisure swim starting at 1:30)
$36.25/month

10 swims and it pays for itself. On it's own, I don't know if I will get 10 swims in one month if I go with a twice a week schedule, but apparently it's $72 and change for 3 months, and even better rates if you go for longer pass periods.

Also, it removes any excuse for not having the cash on me. I figure that Tuesday and Thursday evening may be a good schedule. There are adult swims both evenings at 9:00, and if I feel strangely ambitious, Sunday mornings at 8:30....but what are the odds of that happening really?

I think, for now, I will keep with paying by visit, I just need to make sure I have some cash on hand to do it (or go over the Mac's to get some I suppose)

I think I also need to get a system for keeping my hair out of my face. I think one of those rubber cap things would drive me mad, but a simple hair eleastic, so long as it won't easily fall off, may suffice. I tell you, front crawls suck when your hair coats your entire face while you try and breathe.

[livejournal.com profile] freya46, are you staying with us this weekend? According to this, I seem to think maybe you aren't, but before that, I think we were thinking you were. Communication mishap perhaps. Let us know in any case. You are welcome to our guest bed if you need it, but if you don't, we can consider it available in case someone else needs it.

The Icredibles is .....well............incredible! I loved it. Definitely one of the better Pixar films so far. More violent than many, enough so to earn a PG rating, but that's not my primary concern. It was plain, good ol', unadulterated, FUN! I heartily recommend it.

Looked at some electric shavers in Wal Mart before dinner. They have a surprising range of prices, with some reaching somewhere around $120. For all that, I still hold deep suspicion they would actually give a shave close enough to satisfy me....but I don't know. I doubt any stores would have demo models for sanitation reasons, ....maybe I can talk to a professional barber about their opinions....but they will probably recommend a straight razor. I also, and this was weird, this. What the hell is that about? Looks very gimmicky to me. I pulled it out of the box to look....it's like a normal safety razor, but it vibrates, I wonder if it might actually work, or if it's just a load of hooey.
