There’s no business like it…
Feb. 15th, 2008 03:45 pm2 weeks until we move into Centrepointe, 3 to opening night.
Got your tickets yet?
The show is going fairly well. We are running the whole show tonight, except the curtain call. That’s pretty good from a scheduling standpoint, to run the show 2 weeks ahead of move in, and that’s with a few weather based cancellations. It’s not perfect, some scenes still feel rough, but it’s there enough that people are cleaning up now. I’ve taken a few days off part way through the run, to get some errands done, and find time to go to the gym. We have karaoke after rehearsal tonight (they do this once each show), but it’s always a mixed bag. I generally only get to go once with so many people in the room that sing really well, and like singing, and considering we don’t start until 10:30 or 11:00 (after rehearsal), but it is fun.
It also dawned on my yesterday that we have a 3 day weekend. That totally snuck up on me. I knew family day was coming, I knew it was a day off, but it was always in the indeterminate future. Probably a good excuse to go do some mid day swimming.
by the way, if you’ve been to the Lilibet house…you know the desk in the living room? Wood, decent size, a bit scuffed, but solid. It’s packed up, and we are going to look to get rid of it. I’ll try and post a picture tomorrow. This is a bulky item though, moving it might be tricky. It’s got a roll out side unit with a drawer in it. Shyska, are you ok on furniture, particularly of the desk persuasion?
