well….I got a start at packing. I possibly could have done more….I certainly could have done less. I was debating whether to go back to work this week, or use to break the packing inertia. I’m glad I got a start. Even if it’s not a big start, the ice is broken, there are boxes and tape around, there has been some though process into what needs doing, some analysis of what I need day to day, and what can go into a box right away.
Today seems a write off though….I don’t want to pack, I don’t want to go to the gym, I am feeling unmotivated today. I think it’s time next week to go back to work. 2 weeks off when I had no plans beyond house hunting, and packing….is a long time. I’ve had the show at Centrepointe (just stage crew, but it’s every night) to keep me occupied, which meant I could use the time off to keep up with gym visits and still be able to be backstage every night.
Speaking of which…I did step aerobics yesterday, and did really really well. I was tired and sweaty, but that’s all, just tired and sweaty. I was never faltering, or barely able to keep up….well not until a sadistic number of pushups near the end, but until that point, I was keeping up, and even taking the advanced versions of the steps (usually just involving extra energy, jumping, bigger steps, whatever). I am starting to think I can run the endurance test I need after all, though I still need to measure out 20 metres somewhere, and run the test through my iPod (I have a track with the right intervals timed out).
Been watching the Showtime series The Tudors. It’s fun….and it’s had me running to lookup online to see where they were accurate, and where they were …. inventive. I’ve learned a fair bit about the life of Henry VIII by doing so, and have found myself going back and thinking “When will they get to the part where he did X”.
