How can you help? Glad you asked. You could sponsor me. I know that you've probably been asked about this kind of thing before from other people, for other causes...well, here's one more. Please consider putting forward a little (or a lot) cash towards the cause. It's estimated that as many as 3,000 people in Ottawa have HIV, and that up to a third of them don't even know it. There is a lot to be done in providing support and resources for people who are infected, and for research into finding ways to fight it.
Provide as little, or as much as you can afford. The link goes to a page that can handle all the credit card transaction if you are willing to process it directly (tax receipt will be processed automatically), or you can leave a message promising an amount that I can collect in person, or you can send me an email if you want to keep it private.
I didn't list a personal goal, as this is the first time I've done this kind of thing...I'm not sure what's realistic.
