Jan. 4th, 2003 09:34 amThursday evening saw fencing happen (and I forgot to pay the tithe box...ooops). A few bouts against a few people. Nice to get back to some fencing. My new gloves are great, but stain my hand black. I need to get those little white cotton glove inserts. Nesia made a surprise but welcome visit. She dropped by in the latter half of the evening, and came to the diner with us as well. I got blamed for distracting her from the conversation around the diner table, I like distracting her.
Friday was a weird workday. First, something happened to my network account, and it was frozen. So I had to logon borrowing a co-workers, which means under Windows 2000, all my desktop/bookmarks/launch bar icons etc... were missing. An annoyance. Then I had to spend until about 1:00 pm (several hours) upgrading a suite of applications for a client with the new code I worked on. Then we promptly discovered I forgot one things that needed another upgrade (thankfully just to one of the applications), then I had my performance appraisal (all good news, my supervisor loves me), then right at the end of the day, we discovered a fairly crippling bug in the code I rolled out, that actually has existed for a long time, but only if you use it in one certain way. I know how to fix it, but I will have to deal with that on Monday.
Today is ski day. We are going to pick up all the rest of the supplies needed to wax our skis, get them waxed, and possibly even go skiing. Knock on wood, hopefully we aren't delayed again.
Today is also water day. I didn't drink enough water last night, woke up with a parched mouth. Must hydrate.
