So.

I've been busy. I've been really busy. I make my own bed in this matter I realize, and I like being busy, but I've been busy.

It is now just over a year that I met blue stocking. Well actually, I met her once 2 or 3 years ago, but it was once, we didn't even talk. It's almost a year since I first asked her out (no I don't remember the exact date, I'm a bad man). The year seems to have come full circle, or maybe full moebius strip. It feels, just a little bit, like we are starting to go out for the first time again, but with the benefit of knowledge about each other archived in the mind. I am very happy about this. Socks and Helen also seem to be very happy. We're all feeling really good about things. I will take this moment to say that I love my girls very much. Kisses to you both.

We have submitted all the changes to the house. That's it, no more changes. It's a done deal. We still need to pick out colour for hardwood, countertops, cupboards, and ceramic tiles (powder room, ensuite, main bath, kitchen, and fireplace surround). We have started that process, but it is not as urgent as getting everything else settled. We have decided already on the hardwood, the ensuite ceramic (most of it), and the kitchen cupboards. Progress.

Work is insanely busy, and extremely fun. I am getting to do code in Java. I am finishing things faster than they can assign them to me. I am doing well, and getting very few bug reports from QA on my stuff. I rock!

Saw matrix on Wednesday. It was decent, it was not great, but it may be good. Better than the second anyways. At the very least, they wrapped things up. The story wasmore linear, less obtuse, and came to a conclusion. The first is still by far the best, it had innovation on its side, whereas 2 and 3 got gimmicky.

Event this weekend. We have Freya and Mistress Serra staying with us over the weekend. Guests, SCA activity, food preparations, heraldry and court preparations, feels like an sca weekend to me. Got material yesterday for 2 herald's tabards. Brand is coming over Sunday morning and we sew. Looking forwards to having my own tabard.

I have settled into a regular gaming schedule. Every Tuesday, and every second Sunday. I have missed gaming a lot...a whole lot. I like role-playing games. Yes I am a geek. I realize that getting into this makes me even busier yet, but I value it as an activity sufficiently that I want to give it some priority. My schedule now is dominated by finding time for Helen, Socks, and gaming, with fencing, house stuff, sca stuff, and other social activities fitted in after that as best as I am able. I should be able to maintain a regular fencing attendance, though the occasional Thursday will have to be sacrificed to the house colour picking gods until we have that settled.

Phew.
