observations
May. 28th, 2008 10:02 am1. Indiana Jones and the Crystal skull is…..ok. It’s watchable. It suffers from some bad pacing decisions, and could have used better editing, but it’s got some good Indiana action, though it has an ending that may have purists get all fussed.
2. If you are a car sales agent, taking me for a test drive, do not do the following.
-Refuse to let me drive until we’ve talked models and price
-Refuse to let me drive until you’ve driven it for a bit showing things off
-Drive like a bloody maniac while you are driving it, thinking you are impressing me with the engine performance
-Comment on how many beers you can fit in the glove box, like this is an admirable trait in a car glove box. (also how many beer cases would fit in the trunk)
-Bad mouth other car companies
3. RPM class at Goodlife…I still don’t quite get it. A stationary bike outside of class offers me the chance to listen to my own music, or the TVs, and also gives me concrete data on how well I am doing (distance travelled vs difficulty level). In class, I have to listen to the instructor’s music, and use an analog dial for resistance that gives me no clue how it compares to the last class I did. Oh…and my knees hit the handlebars when I am doing stand-up pedalling.
4. Buyer is doing home inspection tomorrow. Hope there’s no curve balls.
5. What’s with red backlighting for nightime driving in cars? Some cars have nice soft blues, or blue-greens, and some have this angry red glow on everything. Do people seriously like red backlighting on a dash?
6. I am not a number, I am a free man!
