pictorWell, I had a heck of a fun, but really bloody busy weekend. Friday I went to ACO to help chop food for the lesbian march dinner. I then popped over to Swizzles to pick up a sponsorship for my Aids walk, and got in a spin at the karaoke mike, and then to Babylon for outreach. pezchica, and a little later bixkitty and got to chat with them on and off between doing my other stuff. I stayed longer than I otherwise might there, as they had some fun/silly burlesque-ish shows, and an excuse to do a little dancing with the aforementioned ladies.
Saturday I packed off to Kingston forfinitedancer's birthday party, which was itself a blast (but then, she puts on great parties). I got to feel a purple wand (oh wow rake attachment on the back, what a sensory feast), sing more karaoke, laugh, flirt, eat way too much decadent food, mainly of the chocolate variety, and not get enough sleep.
I packed off early this morning, to get to the ACO offices by about 10:30, and help decorate the parade float before riding the float over to Lebreton and the pride parade starting blocks. Armed with face makeup, glitter, silvery wig, and hopefully enough sunscreen, I handed out startling numbers of safe sex supplies to assorted crowds down Wellington, stumbling intogabriel_le, pezchica, and foms along the way, and apparently just missing kattale who had set up on the other side of the parade route. After the parade finished, I ran into bixkitty (with her dog) again along with a few others who I don't think have LJ accounts, but whom I knew and hadn't seen in a while, and we packed off to get some dinner on some Elgin st. pub patio. We finished that off with a quick whip around Venus Envy reminding me that I think there are some things in there I think I need to get for my own supplies/stock. Anyone want to do a toy run this week?
